Frequently asked questions

What do I have to do to be a member of The Book Robin Hoods?

This is how this site works: (aka what you have to do in order to stay an active, featured member of this website). A few guidelines so that you can navigate this site in an easy, stress-free way, and reap its benefits to the fullest: 1. Check the site regularly for new features. To elaborate: Check the Storytellers for new writers (authors added bimonthly) check the Book Thieves for new reviewers (readers added weekly) and check Storytime for new stories to read and give feedback to or post yourselves (stories added daily, multiple times a day). 2. Contact reviewers and writers once a month or two months via the links above (Storytellers or Book Thieves, they all have buttons to contact, which open up in outlook/email) 3. Write reviews (if you are a reader) and share reviews of your books (if you are an author) -not on this site, but on your own platforms. When you get a review of one of your books or receive a free book from an author you met on this site, a mention/link/tag of The Book Robin Hoods would be nice, so that word gets spread around. 2. Visit the forum, read around a bit, and contribute to whatever conversations you like. Please read the Storytime stories and comment on them from time to time, they are super cool (as well as short). 3. Send emails about the site inviting your friends to join (in your newsletter if you are an author - once every few months, whatever you prefer). 4. Post about the site on social media, instagram, facebook, twitter, a few times a month to promote it and yourselves. 5. Post on your blogs, websites and youtube channels about us, and add a link to your bio so that prospective reviewers or authors can find you more easily. Whenever you post about us, use #thebookrobinhoods You don't have to... [read the entire article here]

I don't have the time to be active on this site, but I'm a member.

Please note that in order to maintain the high quality of our website, members who are inactive on this site for more than 3 months will be deleted. Thank you for understanding.

I am just a visitor. Can I still participate?

Yes! You are free to browse through our featured authors and our selection of reliable reviewers and contact them. However, please consider registering so that we can talk to you, whether you are an author or a blogger, get to know you and help promote you! We are all having so much fun on here, we wouldn't want you to miss out.

How do I request books for review or reviews for my books?

By visiting the Storytellers (our featured authors) or the Book Thieves (our featured reviewers). Click the "contact" button and email them. It's that simple!

How do I become a member of this website?

From our Home menu, visit the Members tab, and sign up.

How do I get featured on your authors or reviewers pages?

You need to fill out the relevant sign up form. Please read and reply to every question carefully, as we pick our featured authors (Storytellers) once a month/two months based on the quality of their answers, their participation on this site, and their following. We pick our featured reviewers (Book Thieves) once a week/two weeks based on the quality of their answers, their following, and the quality and reliability of their blogs.

How do I know that the readers who get free books review them?

This site brings authors and reliable reviewers together. Our function stops there. We do not have a rating system for reviewers or for authors, and we do not post reviews on this site. It's completely up to you to research the reviewers you contact, and to ask them any questions you like, to make sure that they are a good fit for your books. All readers have signed a contract that they promise to post reviews of books received via this website within three months at the most. If they haven't, please report the problem here and they will be contacted and removed.

I have more questions. Please help!
